YOGA: Kate is a firm believer in the power of self care through stretching, movement, breath work, and positive visualization. Since 2011, Kate has been teaching gentle, accessible, therapeutic, community-building yoga classes. She received the foundation of her yoga education at Yoga Union cwc (Alignment-Based Yoga and Primal Vinyasa certifications) led by instructor and studio owner, Annie Adamson. Kate went on to direct the gentle yoga program at Yoga Union for 7 years, creating and guiding chair yoga, and gentle vinyasa classes for students who wanted yoga that supported them while working through injuries, arthritis, and also for beginning students looking for a gentle approach. Kate continues to teach these highly accessible styles of yoga, leading private events, working with public and private groups, often traveling to meet her students onsite at apartments, assisted living facilities, caregiver appreciation celebrations, and retiree wellness programs.
Kate offers live-streamed zoom-based public and private yoga classes as a way for more people to enjoy yoga in the comfort and safety of their homes. She is also teaching in-person at the Battle Ground Community Center in Washington, and at additional unique wellness events within Clark County. Kate truly understands the needs of people working through physical challenges, especially those students starting yoga at age 65 or better! She helps her yoga students to focus on what they can do safely, moving towards what feels good and nourishing. Creating a strong spirit of community, Kate's classes are playful, fun, and welcoming to everyone!
